Are you sure they’re actual scars? A lot of people confuse the red marks left after acne for actual scars. Scars are usually pitted or indented in the skin. What you may have is post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which are simply red/pinkish marks left after an acne breakup clears. They are even with the skin layer. If it’s hyperpigmentation, that’s good news because it fades on it’s own as skin cells shed naturally. Allowing it to clear on it’s own usually takes about 6 months. If you want to speed up the process, you need to look for a cream that will speed up the skin shedding process like AHA or glycolic acid. 10% AHA, and topical glycolic acids are believed to be useless in concentrations under 5%.
There are cheap at home remedies as well. A lot of people swear by apple cider vinegar, applying the vinegar to a cotton ball and then to the hyperpigmentated areas of the face. Also, lemons and their juice have a naturally bleaching effect on the skin. So rubbing a lemon slice on the hyperpigmentated areas can help fade the marks.

This is post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Notice how the marks are even with the skin. Marks can be red or dark brown like this picture shows. http://www.skinsight.com/images/dx/webAdult/post-InflammatoryHyperpigmentation_32921_med.jpg
