What is the best way to get rid of red acne scars?
I hаνе mild tο moderate acne аnd I wаѕ wondering whаt type οf scar treatment tο υѕе. Mу scars аrе nοt deep аnd I hаνе nο icepick scars јυѕt red blotchy υglу blemishes. Thеѕе scars hаνе bееn around fοr months аnd thеу don’t seem tο bе going away!!
Maybe a skin lightener mіght work οr peels….please hеlр!!
Hey Ron! ok, well you’ve got 3 options:
#1. Doctor Visits (microdermabrasion, laser treatments.)
You’ve got to way the pros/cons. A few of my friends went and got microdermabrasions and their skin came out worse then when they started. You are going to have several doctor visits and it’s going to cost you anywhere from $400 – $5,000
#2. Natural home remedies (such as lemon juice, rosehead seed oil, aloe vera, vitamin a, sandalwood paste + rosewater, multani mitti powder)
Any one of these serve as great natural remedy and can bring great results. The downside? well.. it might take you a loong time before you see any positive results.
#3. Skin Peel. I’ve done this and it’s worked miracles on my skin. It erases scars/marks in less than a week.

downside? right before it’s finished.. your skin doesn’t look the sexiest. if you were using it on your face, I’d recommend staying inside for that day. but trust me. the final result is worth it! its amazing

Two options here that I am using and that seem to be working…but you need to stick with it.
Squeeze lemon juice in hot water and drink one cup a day.
Squeeze lemon juice into a bowl and use a clean cotton pad to apply to the skin. Leave on for half an hour then rinse off with warm water.
If that doesn’t agree with your skin…
Use bicarbonate of soda, and mix it with water to make a paste. Gently massage into your skin, very gently, leave on for half an hour and wash off with warm water.
Only do this 2-3 times a week as it dries the skin out, you’ll need to moisturise well.
um i have rosatia. its kinda permanate it wont go away. You’ll have them as a grandmama.
They won’t go away. Lightener will not work. Visit a dermatologist. Once evaluated she will suggest either chemical peels or microderm-abrasion. I think that a few sessions of microderm-abrasion would do the trick.

The reduction of scars, lesions, and stretch marks from the skin is dependent on a process called "skin remodeling". The skin is designed to heal wounds fast to prevent blood loss and infection. Scars are made from a quickly formed "collagen glue" that the body deposits into an injured area for protection and strength.
In the optimal skin healing, the wounded skin is rapidly closed, then the healed area is slowly reconstructed to remove the residual collagen scars and blend this skin area into nearby skin. You can do your own micro derm abrasion by using a luffa and soap. Rub the areas vigorously but don’t make it bleed. Do this each day and, after a month or so, you will start to see the scars fading. Keep it up, they’ll be gone gradually. Use a light moisturizer after the wash to keep your skin soft.
A very effective treatment for acne scars – including the red blotchy kind is using a derma roller.
It is a skin roller with tiny needles which stimulates the healing process in the skin and helps you absorb your skin creams better.
