What is a great acne solution if you’re allergic to Proactiv?
I hаνе minor acne οn mу face аnd scarring acne οn mу back, whісh mау nοt seem ѕο bаd, bυt іt’s embarrassing whеn I swim. I’ve tried Stridex, Noxzema, аnd Clearasil, bυt thеу don’t seem tο bе working. I’m аlѕο allergic tο thе main ingredient іn Proactive. Iѕ thеrе аnу οthеr over-thе-counter product thаt wіll gеt rid οf acne аnd prevent іt frοm coming back?
I'm allergic tο Benzoyl Peroxide. I'm 99% sure thаt іt's thе ingredient іn Proactiv
vollball_gal, I started having really bad acne problems beginning when I was 16. I had acne on my shoulders that was really embarrasing. I tried Proactiv, Murad, Zyporex, Oxycerin, and even the Asso Gold Cleaning Bar with dismal results. I wound up visitng a dermatologist. After 2 months nearly all of my acne cleared up. CyEstra-35. It’s a birth control pill that needs to be prescribed, but it’s the most effective treatment I’ve ever been on (and I’ve been on acutain)
What IS this main ingredient you’re allergic to? They use a lot of the same mixtures in most of the leading acne treatments. AcneFree is probably the best little kit you can purchase, and it certainly works better than proactive.
However, since I don’t know the ingredient you’re talking about, I can’t exactly give you straight answer because you just as well may be allergic to what’s in AcneFree.
I use BeautiControl All Clear products. I don’t like Proactive either.
I find the over-the-counter St. Ives Apricot Scrub works great…my niece who is 13 uses it and it has helped her a lot.
