What are the best OTC acne products?
I hаνе combination skin аnd аll οf a sudden I ѕtаrtеd breaking out lіkе crazy. I tried a product called pronexin аnd іt mаdе іt worse… I’ve аlѕο tried proactiv whісh аlѕο mаdе іt worse. Please suggest products thаt I сουld bυу аt Walgreens, Walmart, οr Target.. nοt things lіkе Skin ID. I аm looking fοr a gοοd cleanser, toner, moisturizer, аnd spot treatment. Thanks!
I’ve used Clean & Clear for ages. It’s really good. And they have all kinds of different products: the cleansers, toners, scrubs, cover-up, shine control, you name it! And it’s very cheap at Walmart.
Clearasil. It’s not overbearingly expensive, and it works very well on my acne. I get the small tube and it lasts me a month or two. I get it at my local Wal-Mart.
bacon greae
ProActive
hmm.:D
try clean && clear and i just have to sayy this sorry ewwiee!!!!! acnee D: how gross!!!
depending on ur age all of those are not the best thing todo. ur body is producing chemicals, and adding more into it is whats causing ur break out.
to get rid of acne, dip a rag in hot water(as hot as u can stand) and lay it on ur face. do this once or twice a day
sometimes you just have to keep trying stuff. every one’s skin is different so it will react differently. for example, in high school i used all kinds of prescription stuff that never worked and that put me on acutane which did many things but "cure" my acne it did not. i used proactiv and it works like a charm while I have friends who said it sucked.
you just have to keep trying things until something works for you… also realize that you have to use it as directed for at least a month to see any results. Since proactiv came out, Clearasil and the like have been putting out combo sets with toner, moisturizers, and all kinds of things so you have many options ahead of you!
good luck!
Neutrogena has a 3 step system which has been the best OTC product I have tried. It’s called Neutrogena Complete Acne Therapy System. It comes with a wash, acne medication, and a moisturizer with SPF 15. I get it for about $20 at Target.
You can get a $5 dollar coupon on their website. http://acnekit.neutrogena.com/
Good luck.
Buy unscented plain Milk of Magnesia. Shake and apply when going to bed. Let dry. Next day, wash face, and apply a gentle moisturizerr such as Oil of Olay which has sunscreen in it. Your face should show improvements with a few days.
I like OxyClean, but if proactiv and pronexin made it worse you may consider seeing a dermatologist and getting a prescription medication tailored for your skin type.
I’ve been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it’s at.
I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.
I’m 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.
Literally the best acne face wash I’ve ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It’s unique cause of it’s herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.
You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn’t work it will still save you butt on the return policy.
Well good luck and best wishes.
