most of the treatment does work at least to a degree, but if your acne is really bad you can get prescription medication from the doctor and it will work for sure.
PROACTIVE I also have really bad acne, and its the only thing that works for me. Just make sure to use it regularly; every morning and night. And don’t use any other skin creams while you use it. It works really quick, and after you put it on the cream evens out your skin tone and makes it look clearer.
If you want a more serious treatment, go to your doctor and ask about accutane. It’s a pill that treats acne, and probably the best method of prevention for serious acne, but it is a prescription treatment.

Talk to a dermatologist because they’ll know what to use on your specific skin and its severity. Plus washing your face too much can cause dryness and it actually reverses the healing process. And using different types of washing at the same time can cause irritation. And DO NOT scrub your face while washing or drying. Just simply rub it in and pat dry. Do not cause anymore irritation.
I used to have really bad acne and from experience I know that if you seriously don’t touch it at all. Nothing at all. And just wash your face daily, it will go away eventually. Personally I used to use a daily morning application rub and an evening lotion and rub. Plus I used a sulfur wash twice daily (all dermatologist prescribed). Eventually I figured out that, since my skin is so extremely sensitive, just the sulfur wash was all i needed. So now I wash my face with that once or twice daily and just DON’T TOUCH IT (that’s really the key… the oil from your hands causes serious inflammation) and its gone down to almost nothing. Try a sulfur wash and talk to a doctor. Hope it helped!
