True or false if you use acne medicine you will never outgrow acne?
I heard if you use acne medicine your body gets used to it and you will never outgrow acne… well maybe when your 30? I am 15 got bad acne and need to make a choice acne medicine or no acne medicine? I dont want acne in my twenties should I just let it do its work?

I haven’t heard of anything like that happening – perhaps people who say this are trying treatments too rough or just plain inappropriate for acne?
I would suggest going to see a doctor – I went to see one and she gave me antibiotics called Tetralysal – they’ve been working wonders for me. They work pretty slow – I’ve been on them for about 5 months, but my skin is much clearer – a lot of the redness is gone and the pimples are far reduced in number.
I really would recommend asking about those antibiotics – they won’t clear your skin up right away, but nothing does – acne bacteria are just very persistent and tough to get rid of. You can help by ensuring there isn’t too much fat/oil in your diet as this can block pores and make it worse. Also, don’t burst pimples, as this spreads the bacteria around your face and will lead to more of them.
Hope I could help.
Acne is a part of A LOT of people’s lives. There are no studies that prove or disprove acne medications causing you to never ‘outgrow’ acne. Without the use of cloning, there is no way for a study to know that a specific person would have ‘outgrown’ the condition to begin with. If the acne is a problem and interferes with your day to day life, or if you simply don’t want to deal with it anymore, I say treat it with medication. One bit of advice, either choice you make, relax. Worrying about acne and getting stressed out will only make it worse. Good luck to you!
