Topical acne treatments (those you put on the surface of your skin) do not help cystic acne because it is below the surface of the skin, so please don’t recommend any washes or scrubs. Are there any over-the-counter vitamins or pills that would help? Any foods to eat or avoid eating?

i went to a dermatologist before and he gave me a medication which is Differin Gel 0.3%

I’ve been using that for like a year and it never seems to work, it does work for my cheeks that have acne but it’s still visible. I’ve been noticing that my forehead is oily but not my cheeks.
are there any home remedies to cure my acne?
or should i leave it to the dermatologist?
also proactiv/clean and clear doesnt work for me, i’ve tried it before.
neutrogena stings my face i dont use it anymore
