I have used Retin-A cream (actually its generic tretinoin) on and off for almost a year. When I first started using it, my skin was painfully inflamed for about 2 months and peeling too. My acne got worse. Then the skin started sloughing off revealing new skin that was smoother but I still get acne. Although not as often, I still occasionally get deep nodular acne at my jaw and neckline. How long have people used it and seen good results? Do you have to use it pretty much the rest of your life?
i hate it so much and i want it gone fast so if someone has any ideas please tell me (its not bad acne its normal but it sux)

Hi, I’m sixteen and I have a LOT of acne. I drink about 4-5 glasses of water a day, can’t quite reach that 7-8. I’ve been using Proactiv and that hasn’t work so my dad is taking me to a doctor this weekend.

I am a 30 yr old female with combination/oily skin. i have never had problems with acne in the past other than an occasional pimple here and there. i have tried neutrogena, which is said to be better than proactiv, but it doesn’t work, and it over dries my skin. i usually break out around my chin, and on either side of my nose. these originate from under the skin. i need a remedy. any dermatologists out there with suggestions? anyone?
