It seems like getting rid of your acne should be the end of the story. But, as you’ve discovered, healing the scars that’s left behind is now your main concern. For treatment of scars, you need to go deep under the top layer of the skin. The craters left behind from years of acne can only be treated in one way. There are cosmetic procedures such as soft tissue fillers, microdermabrasion and laser resurfacing that involves lasers and expensive creams.
These treatments sometimes do not work, leaving your skin burned, red and more sensitive than ever before. You must always remember to check with the person performing the procedure that they are licensed to do so.
One of the most popular treatments is Microdermabrasion. This treatment removes surface skin cells. Think of it as buffing the skin. The results of these treatments can be less visible acne scars.
You might need several treatments to get the result you want. But microdermabrasion treatments are fast, usually taking less than an hour. And there is little, if any, pain involved. An in office microdermabrasion treatment averages about $200 to $300.
Or you can try one of the many at-home-microdermabrasion kits available today. They generally cost much less than an office visit and will still give you good results. I would recommend an all-natural kit such as the Scar Treatment kit from ZenMed. It’s a simple two-step system that you use 2-3 times per week. Check it out below and let me know if it works for you. All the best.
time.
You need to fight the acne first. You say you’re still prone to breakouts? If you are like you said then that means your acne is still active. And if your acne is active, then the marks/scars won’t clear. Do you know what I’m saying here? Fight the acne first then when it calms down your skin can start to actually heal properly. So first fight your active acne. Visit a dermatologist and they’ll give you what they think is right for treating your acne. Once your acne is no longer active (which may take some time so you have to be patient), you can begin treating your scars/marks. So save these home remedies until then.
Sorry, I have the same problem, and I’ve tried all the same stuff and thensome. I’ve been to several dermatologists, tried perscriptions, tried the creams you’re asking about, and none of it has worked. I am 28 and I still have a blotchy look to my bare skin, and I have a couple of pits that I notice ( I don’t think anyone else does though). I’ve had microdermabrasion and chemical peels, and they helped a little, but It’s all still there.
Sorry to have to give you bad news.
Wash your face somewhat gently with baking soda and water. The baking soda scrubs off the dead skin cells gently. Then take vinegar (preferably apple cider vinegar) and mix it with water. Then put on your affected area. Should clear right up! Drink lots of water to flush the toxins out of your system.
Do not use toothpaste or Listerine!!!
