Is Doxycycline Hyclate (acne medicine) attributed to hair loss?
I’ve bееn taking thіѕ medicine аnd noticed tons οf hair loss cause before o didn’t lose hair, іn general саn acne medication bе attributed tο hair loss?
Hair loss is not a known side effect of Doxycycline hyclate. Some strong medications used to treat severe acne such as isotretinoin have been known to cause more side effects including hair loss, headache, nausea, frail skin and vomiting.
Everybody can react differently to certain medications. If you are concerned that your medication is effecting your health then you should consult your doctor, especially if you are experiencing rapid hair loss. Your doctor can then, hopefully, prescribe a more suitable treatment.
The best advice would be to schedule a doctor’s appointment and check to see if you have any hormonal imbalance problems right now, since most hair loss is genetic in nature and caused by oversensitivity to DHT unless instigated by outside agents, i.e. acne medicine? At the very least, you can narrow down the options. If your hair loss continues and there’s no significant regrowth, Bosley’s own hair restoration program harvests your remaining healthy, hair follicles and implants them into affected areas using microsurgery to create a new, healthy, natural hairline.
