I have oily acne prone skin. I have been treating it with Retin-A Micro .1% for the past few weeks. As a result, my skin gets pretty dry around the nose and mouth.

I have been using Neutrogena for sensitive skin as a moisturizer (I also have it with SPF). I’ve heard from lots of people and a dermatologist that this is a pretty good moisturizer. But it stings my face a little. Can anyone recommend a moisturizer that won’t do this with the Retin-A?

My skin is really dry but I have acne-ish bumps around my nose (where my skin is driest). What should I do to get rid of this?

Also, I have oily skin most of the time. I do use proactive solution, but it doesn’t work that well with my skin anymore. Also, when I was a teen I took acutane for three months and it only got rid of my most severe cystic acne, but I sill have overall breakouts all the time, and I just turned 26. So if you know of a really great product that works, please let me know. Especially the nonprescription methods.

I have sensitive, somewhat oily skin, some open pores on my cheek, small pimples on my forehead and under my nose. I think I have small acne scars/marks under my nose too…and I use Neutrogena oil-free acne wash and moisturizer. Benzoyl Peroxide irrritates my skin. I eat healthy too…Is there anything I can buy or do that will cure this?

I have had acne for 3 years and it is worst on my forehead and chin. I have tried so many things: Loreal, Clean and Clear, Clinique, Neutrogena, tea tree oil, toothpaste, aloe vera etc. I haven’t tried proactiv cuz it didnt work for my friend (her skin went really dry and wrinkly). I’m 16 & I use Biore’s Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser. But after I get out of the shower, my face is dry and when I wake up in the morning it’s dry too. I’ve been using Lubriderm, which is obviously for the body but I have nothing else. So what’s the best moisturizer for skin that gets oily throughout the day, but is also acne prone? Thanks
