Acne Medicine Archives
If a girl is taking acne medicine that says it may take away pregnancy prevention if she is also on a birth contro pill, and she has sex the last day of her period and takes the birth control pill right after sex (a day early since she is on the last day of her peroid), along with a Plan-B pill, will she get pregnant or what are the chances she will become pregnant?
Personal experiences please only
Right now i use neutrogena acne stress oil-free medicine and face wash, but it doesn’t seem to work for me. I get big red pimples, mainly on my chin and forehead and i’m looking for a new acne medicine/face wash that is inexpensive and will WORK! I also wash my face with soap, along with my face wash, because the face wash itself doesn’t work.
Before you answer, please DON’T say get pro active, or go to a dermatologist. So, what acne medicine should i use that is most likely to work for my type of pimples? Thanks ![]()

1. Why won’t my acne just kind of disappear over time, it continues to get worse?
2. How can I get myself to get into a pattern of using acne medication every day?
3. I start college this coming year and I fear that my face will look very bad at the start of the year and that will affect my social life, how can I get over that?
4. Why can’t I bring myself to just use the medicine every day?
5. I feel like i am going to end up with acne scars all over my face and it will have been my own fault at the end, how can I prevent the scars?
My acne is now everywhere on my face, my face looks horrible and I keep expecting it to get better with time even though the exact opposite has happened. Using the acne medication never became a habit and I didn’t want to use it because I didn’t think it would help.
In fact, I was told that acne can create permanent scars on my face recently which frightened me quite a bit.
I also like eating breakfast after waking up, it’s kind of a pattern and the medicine I take doesn’t allow me to eat breakfast for another hour after taking it.
So, I went about a couple years ago to get acne medicine. The acne medication didn’t appear to work all that well although I was only using it periodically even though I was told to use the medicine every day. During a vacation 2 years ago, the acne kind of started to vanish by itself and my face looked a lot better. I continued to use the acne medication randomly and of course, after getting back from vacation the acne got much worse again.
Anyways, my acne continued to get worse and now it looks really bad, it’s very noticeable and I just don’t use the medicine despite knowing that I should use it. I even went in to get some stronger medicine but it’s just not helping me and I can’t seem to get into a pattern of using my acne medication every day anyways.

I’m looking for a new acne medicine that will clear up and reduce breakouts and pimples. I currently use neutrogena ‘acne stress control (oil free)’ and the face wash that goes along with it. But it pretty much doesn’t work at all for me. I normally get those big red pimples, and i try to avoid putting a lot of makeup on my face, since that can make acne worse.
Anyways, i’m looking for an INEXPENSIVE acne medicine and/or face wash that will work and actually clear up my pimples and keep them away.
and please DO NOT recommend going to a dermatologist OR proactive or skin id.
