Anyone taken the acne medicine accutane?
I hаνе bееn breaking out a lot lately аnd mу doctor ѕаіd hе саn give mе accutane іf i want. I аm kind οf nervous tο take іt bесаυѕе i hаνе heard bаd things. I аm јυѕt looking fοr people whο hаνе taken іt ѕο thеу саn share thеіr experience wіth іt.
People whο ѕау thаt acne іѕ frοm food аrе wrοng. I eat really well аnd i drink tons οf water.
The negative stories about it have been somewhat over-exaggerated — you know how the saying goes: bad news travels fast. Over two million people have taken the medication, and most have not had any long-term consequences. It’s controversial because so many consider it a "cosmetic" medication, but those are primarily the people who never had to suffer with truly severe acne or probably shouldn’t have been prescribed the medication.
You shouldn’t be afraid to try it — if you find the side effects unmanageable (most are able to tolerate them just fine), you can always discontinue it. I had to take it several times, and while it’s not fun to have very dry skin, itchiness, peeling, and dry eyes/nose — there is no other medicine that approaches being anywhere nearly as effective. Good luck! You can read the below articles from WebMD for more information.

sorry mate i havent my i have had acne i say go for it im sure it can be that bad i will tell you it isnt as bad as what life could sometimes throw at u
OMG im taking it 30 days after i get my blood tests done! OK the side effects that everybody gets are dry skin and chapped lips. dont need to worry about the other side effects that much. and your acne may get worse the first month u take it but by 5 months ur skin should be crystal clear! Accutane should be taken with food in your tummy. i think. pretty sure!
my friend took it and now shes clear. i have confidence in this medication! oh and after accutane u may never get acne again, if ur lucky! most people still get occasional zits and minor breakouts but thats nothing compared to huge huge huge ugly breakouts and redness and stuff! im so happy im about to take it. GOOD LUCK!
I took it when I was younger…the worst symptoms were headaches, tiredness and dry skin – that may sound petty, but the dryness was quite significant, and it was especially bad for my lips, they got so dry it was ridiculous, I was never far from some vasaline. But, if I had not taken it, as a good friend of mine opted not to do, I would have a scared face now, which he does. The effects arent great, but the benefits are well worth it, you suffer in the sort term, but you benefit massively in the long term. Go for it!
