anyone know about saclycic acid? in acne medicine? ?
dοеѕ anyone еlѕе hаνе a problem whеn using acne treating medicine wіth saclycic acid іn іt? (I hope i spelled іt rіght) іt mаdе mе brеаk out…іt seems lіkе everything wіth thаt іn іt mаkеѕ mе brеаk out! іf anyone еlѕе understands thіѕ…whаt dο уου υѕе fοr acne?? thanx!!
Different things make different people break out. Sometimes breaking out from something is a good thing, but probably not. What I mean by good thing is sometimes acne is caused by demodex mites. We all have demodex mites in our eyelashes, everyone, they are like microscopic bacteria or bugs, and some people, when teenagers, have an over abundance of them on the face, which causes the acne. Sulfur kills them, and there is usually more acne caused by sulfur than before because when they die it creates more acne, so you have to go through more acne to get rid of it. Maybe the saclycic acid is killing something and cauasing a die off process, but I doubt it…but it is a possibility. So it all depends on what is causing your acne, to determine wether more acne from a product is a good thing or bad thing. I juse use Apple Cider Vinegar and eat healthy,

Timelady, I disagree, demodex mites cause acne as they die off. Although I dont know about what saclycic acid would be killing since demodex cant be killed by it. But if that type of mite causes acne when dying off, there is probably other organisms that do the same thing that might be causing acne. If you go to a dermatologist, and its really bad, they will almost always prescribe accutane. Accutane has so many bad side effects so they only prescribe it if its really bad acne. Accutane must kill off something too because Accuatane always has a stage of getting worse before it gets better, but 92% of people who go on accutane are completely cured of their acne within 5 months. Just google "accutane success rate" and you’ll find lots of non biased sites talking about studies done on it.
Although you may be right about mary kay, they may have taken advantage of the fact that some things cause die off, and claimed thats why their product had adverse effects.
When using acne medicine you are going to breakout first because it is drawing out the bad stuff then from there it gets better. Like the saying it will get worse before it gets better. But the outcome will be great. As long as your face getting a bad red rash or seems more irritated then normal you should be fine just give it time. good luck!
Sorry to the first answerer, but "drawing out the bad stuff" is a total myth, made up by, I believe, the Mary Kay corporation when all their clients broke out from their products. Never use anything that makes you break out, you are probably allergic to it. I would see a dermatologist if nothing is working for you.
