Acne is a very common skin disorder that most young people get in early puberty. It is caused by inflammation of the small oil glands. Log on to http://tipsfromruby-acne.blogspot.com/ for a few home made tips to heal acne .
The key is to fight your acne both from outside (topical) and inside. Also, you can’t treat body acne using facial acne treatment, because the causes are different.
Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

drink at least eight glasses of water a day and wash your face twice a day
I had terrible acne when I was younger and my tips to keep it away would be:
1. Exercise (of the cardio variety). Boring, I know, but my skin is always a lot better in the phases where I go to the gym a couple of times a week.
2. Exfoliate. For some reason a lot of articles I’ve read on acne (in the glossy magazines) say you shouldn’t exfoliate acne prone skin as it makes it worse but I’ve always found that it works wonders on my skin. I exfoliate every time I wash my face by wiping off my cleanser with a muslin cloth and then I use a more abrasive scrub twice a week. The new home microdermabrasion kits are brilliant, although they can be a little pricey.
3. Use natural, plant based products. I was always very sceptical about the benefits of using products such as these but now I’ll never use anything else. I haven’t had one breakout since using them. No idea why, but they seem to work!
4. Work out what works the best for you. I’ve read so many things in magazines that tell you what to do to keep acne at bay but have found that they don’t work for. For example, drinking tons of water every day and using an oil to moisturise your face – they had no impact on my skin. By all means try these things but if they don’t work for you don’t waste your time!
