I’ve used everything to clear up my acne and nothing ever worked. The only thing that remotely cleared up my acne was Pro Active. It’s not flawless, but it’s a whole lot better then what it was.
I have been on all the acne medications (accutane, minomycin and the contraceptive).
I had no side effects on the contraceptive, but on the other 2 I did.
Mynomyacin made me light sensitive and I got bad dizzy spells and vertigo. Accutane had mood effects on me.
I did not gain weight, and I don’t know many people who have. My doctor said it doesnt really happen much.
Accutane gets worse before it gets better. Oral contraceptives take about 6 months to work. Minomycin was pretty quick.
In my opinion, despite how long they take to work, the oral contraceptive pill was the best. NO side effects, and very effective for me. You would never know I had pimples now. But like I said. Took ages to work. And I still use benzac cream (from chemists) as that helps when I get small pimples.
research on google!
I’ve never used that prescription, but I’ve heard that in a lot of cases it’ll get worse before it gets better. With that in mind I’d recommend starting before a long weekend or something when you wont see as many people, in case you’re worried about how you’ll look.
Try Pro Active…
