I see a lot of celebrities on commercials claiming that Proactiv is the best thing since sliced bread. Does it really work that well? Or should I be skeptical because obviously they are getting paid millions to say this? Has anyone used it and saw results?

I’ve recently gotten my breakouts to stop, making my acne scars more visible. I can mostly cover them up with makeup but i’d rather just get rid of the scars. So if I used regular scar removing cream (like the stuff you can get at a drug store) would it help to remove (or lighten) my scars?

By the way I used tree oil mixed with witch hazel, it got rid of my breakouts within a few days.

Do You Think If They Found a Cure for Acne They Would Reveal It?

Since it is a billion dollar industry, do you think they would try to avoid the possible "truth" behind acne instead of more complications?

A few months ago I had really bad acne (my face was red). I then bought an acne product to help with this and while it has helped, the acne is still there. It’s just not nearly as bad as it used to be. I would say that it’s acceptable compared to how terrible I looked a few months ago. Are acne products supposed to work like this (where most of it is gone but some of its still there) or is the acne supposed to go away entirely?

As some of you may already know, I have had a sty for the last few months now. All the remedies I’ve tried haven’t worked so far (the doctor, warm compresses, tea, milk, prescription anti-biotic medications, you name it). So, now I’m thinking about throwing some Clearasil on my eyelid. The theory is: If the sty is like a pimple, then acne treatment products ought to clear it up. My only problem is: Why hasn’t anyone ever thought of this idea before? Am I missing something?

I have had acne for 3 years and it is worst on my forehead and chin. I have tried so many things: Loreal, Clean and Clear, Clinique, Neutrogena, tea tree oil, toothpaste, aloe vera etc. I haven’t tried proactiv cuz it didnt work for my friend (her skin went really dry and wrinkly). My skin is always always oily and my acne will not clear up!!
Please help me!!

For the most part, I have pretty clear skin. I only get acne in spefic spots, mostly in the T-Zone (nose and above eyebrow area) and when I do its only one or two pimples. Does anyone have any remedies for the occasional pimple? I’ve heard tooth paste works, but it also dries out then skin so…

Home remidies and store bought products are what I’m looking for, nothing that requires a dermatologist or a prescription please!

And does anyone know any way to prevent/get rid of those annoying blackheads? I always have them on my nose…

Thank you!
Someone mentioned Zeno;
I’ve heard about that product, does anyone have any experience with it?
If so, does it work?

I’ve had acne problems since I was twelve, for eight years. I’m twenty now and its not nearly as bad as it once was but sometimes i have breakouts. I’ve been on every acne medication known to man, most of it worked to some extent but the majority of oral medications have dangerous side effects and I’m quite sick of the topical stuff, it makes my face so dry and I have heard it increases the risk of skin cancer.
So what can i do to get rid of this acne, Right now I’m just washing my face about four times a day and using clearasil cream every night, but its really messing up the skin on my face. I don’t have many acne problems when I use it, though. I’ve heard all the advice about acne like don’t touch your face, don’t eat greasy foods, etc. I’m doing all this stuff, but still having some problems. Is there a natural way to prevent this acne?

A few months ago I managed to grind off all my raised acne scars with home microdermabrasion. A few weeks ago, some of the scars seemed to have returned. Is this indeed what happened? If so, how can I ensure that they do not return again? Or are they breakouts?

thanks.
